servicenow_create_incident

ServiceNow · macOS · Windows

Effect: write (strongest supported action). Status: gated.

Gated means the tool requires an installed app, a connected account, permission, or runtime availability. Check those requirements on the listed platform before using it.

macOS

Purpose

Creates a real incident in the connected ServiceNow instance, immediately: this tool has no preview and no confirm step, and the ticket is visible to the service desk as soon as the call returns. Agree the short_description and the urgency with the user BEFORE calling. urgency defaults to 3 (Medium). Returns the incident number, its sys_id and a link to it. To add to an existing incident use servicenow_add_comment or servicenow_update_incident instead of creating another.

Permissions and confirmation

No explicit confirmation parameter is exposed in this snapshot. This does not grant permission to act: obtain user authorization before any real action.

Windows

Purpose

Creates an incident in the ServiceNow instance connected with connect_servicenow, using the stored credentials. There is no preview and no confirm step: the first call files a real ticket in a system other people work from, so show the user the text and get their go-ahead before calling. Only a blank short_description is refused; urgency is 3 when omitted. Nothing checks for a similar open incident, so calling twice files two: look first with servicenow_search_incidents or servicenow_list_my_incidents. The reply gives the incident number and a link. This server cannot delete an incident; to change or close one, pass its sys_id (from servicenow_get_incident) to servicenow_update_incident.
